What a Wood Relief.

My brother-in-law, owner of a very well-known martini and cigar bar here in Washington, DC, emailed me a link to the website by B+N Industries. We are working on some updates at his establishment and throwing out ideas here and there for the interior re-design of the space. B+N Industries is known for their innovative and forward thinking when it comes to interior design of commercial and hospitality spaces. However, some of their notable finds are perfect right at home. My eye is on the Reclaimed Wood Iconic Panels. This collection of sustainably produced carved relief panels is available in various designs and wood varieties, Douglas Fir, Western Redwood, or Teak. Each panel is carved from FSC-certified MDF panels with FSC-certified reclaimed wood veneer and a low-V.O.C. satin finish.

For just over $1,000 per panel, I imagine these panels behind a claw foot tub in a modern master bathroom, illuminated by above as a decorative backdrop in an entry, or quite possibly detailing the interior spaces of a brand new mega yacht.

The Hunt Goes Outdoors with Holly.

I’m really like Holly Hunt’s outdoor furniture collections. My vendor list for outdoor accessories and furnishings seems to grow and grow each season with the addition of new and high quality outdoor and casual indoor furniture lines. Holly Hunt’s teak and powder-coated metal pieces have a tailored and fresh contemporary palette and are hand-crafted to last a lifetime. Open the windows and doors wide and see for yourself… for years to come.

Dinner by Teak Candlelight.

New York Times recently ran a post about morphing teak candlesticks that exude a retro earthy vibe. Global Table sells them. Every table deserves these Mayfair Teak Candlesticks. I can see a set gracing a white marble table top or flanking a modern condo mantel. The price is just as reasonable at $24, $28, and $30. Grab all three for under $100. Purchase three white tapers and with a flick of the Zippo…. dinner is served.
