Catchy Color Combination.

I’m working on the interior design of a local condo space and am using my clients own accent bolster pillow from the bedroom as my color palette for inspiration. A mix of creams, persimmon, sages, pale blues and accents of gold – the color combination is soothing and enliving at the same time. So today, when I saw some images shared through a Facebook friend for photographer Justine Ungaro, I was smitten. Of course, the photography is just beautiful. But the colors chosen to set the scene for this couples wedding affair were a perfect match to my design plan (minus the fuchsia – which I do adore).

LV Brand Brings on the Fall Palette.

You’ve surely seen the new Louis Vuitton print campaign – a “she looks really good” Madge is printed in luxury glossy spreads and adhered to underground train stations across the world. My first thought when discoving this Moulin Rouge-esqe Madonna boudoir shot: It’s Madonna? Whoa. My second thought: I need to put this palette of subdued jewel tone colors to work.

Online I went.  To discover that those colors follow through to the so-pretty products for upcoming seasons. I’m really digging the Farandole Bracelets and Sobe Clutch. Those bracelets make excellent color combination ideas for rooms design schemes at home. And the clutch – especially the blue glossy one –  reminds me of a perfectly scaled peacock blue velvet upholstered tight back sofa… with brushed brass nailhead trim.
