Light as a Feather, Strong as a Bag.

My husband can vouch that I’m quite the talented acquirer of any kind of soft storage sack with one or two straps. Totes, satchels, cross-bodies, you name it. I want it. I’ve yet to place my order for one {or all four colors}, but this Air Tote Bag from Meet Me Here is on my immediate bag radar list.

It would have been excellent for days at the beach and even a catchall for weekly dry-cleaning. With a baby on the way, I also imagine it carrying those odds and ends that seem to overflow the typical tote. Inspired by Japanese origami, these simple bags are made from remnant mesh and vegetable tanned leather. They measure about 16″ x 20″ x 4″ so they are perfect lightweight carry all for your everyday needs.

And the leather straps dress up the simple mesh fabric. Now, which color should I designate for fabric samples from the Design Center… which for baby toys?

Green with Envy.

I have to say that emerald green gets me every time. It’s not may favorite color – because I truly find it hard to have just one favorite. I like the entire color wheel of colors in various contexts. I like mixing and matching. And sometimes I stick to the tried and true neutrals. But this shade of green takes my breath away every time. It works with all seasons of wardrobes – burgundies and camels in the Fall, grays and blacks in the Winter, pastel yellow in Spring and vibrant oranges and inky blues in Summer. Oh, and it’s a mandatory accessory come March 17th. =) Just yesterday, I was shopping for a client at the Design Center and picked up a sample of a bold green wallpaper. It’s gorgeous. And so is this handbag from Coach.

In the Hand… Bag.

I am an accessories w%&*$!. I love a good search for interesting, fun, and adorable shoes, bags, and jewelry. However, I don’t always pull the trigger… I do have a budget ya know! Well, thanks a lot to Bloomingdale’s for an email about their new Spring arrival of designer handbags. First stop was Marc by Marc Jacobs. Then it was off to Isabelle Fiore. From that moment, I was a loose cannon in a shopping cart. No, I do not need all of these clutches, cross body’s or totes, but it’s fun to pretend (and want!). Until I break down and order up one or two. Here is my Bloomie’s wish list of bows, chains, studs, twists and ties. Do you take lay away?
