In Need of These Beads.

I’m endlessly on the hunt for eye-cathing jewelry, and more times then not, I find myself stashing away in my drawer something beautiful and beaded. And I wear it. Wear it out more like it. As I would do with this Patmos Multi Strand necklace from Aerin Lauders accessories line for AERIN.

I must have one. But first I have to check in with my budget.

Busy Busy Year So Far in the City!

So much has been going on, we’ve had very little time to chat with you all. New people, places, and a few things have come into our lives and filled us with the best surprises life has to offer. We can’t wait to share them with you… stay tuned for more to come this week!

Charming to Say the Least.

Some things are merrier and brighter. Yet, a wee bit unattainable in this world for a simple yet stylish creature such as moi. The small colorful dangling acorn shaped stones are exquisite on this chain bracelet by Tamara Comolli {but, what are they?}. And the 18K rose gold chain makes it that much more feminine and soft. Can be yours for $37K…. Merry Christmas!

My Pom Obsession.

For those of you who want to chew on some pomegranate seeds without the seedy mess {oh, but it is so much fun to pull one apart in search of those small apartments of snuggled pom seeds!}… let me introduce you to my newest fresh food love. I could seriously eat a few cups of these lil fresh arils a day. Gotta love the simple spoon and clean hands post snack attack.

Parent Rap.

With baby on the brain, I’m googoo gaga over anything child related that is sent my way {hold on the junk snail mail that’s filling my mailbox!}. Just got this video from my sister. Bring it kiddo!

Happy Monday!

I am Fast Becoming a Pinning Machine.

This weekend, I have a lot of catching up to do on my social media side of life… networking and blogging of course. I’m fast becoming a pinning addict at Pinterest. It’s so darn easy to save a picture and link from any webpage. Much easier to organize then my piles of tear-sheets and tear-outs throughout my home and office. I also find it a great tool for my clients to pull together their own preferred tastes and style to help my design firm navigate specific projects with greater direction. It’s a Win Pin Win situation! For those of you “pinterested” in what’s on my Boards, check out my Pins!

Light as a Feather, Strong as a Bag.

My husband can vouch that I’m quite the talented acquirer of any kind of soft storage sack with one or two straps. Totes, satchels, cross-bodies, you name it. I want it. I’ve yet to place my order for one {or all four colors}, but this Air Tote Bag from Meet Me Here is on my immediate bag radar list.

It would have been excellent for days at the beach and even a catchall for weekly dry-cleaning. With a baby on the way, I also imagine it carrying those odds and ends that seem to overflow the typical tote. Inspired by Japanese origami, these simple bags are made from remnant mesh and vegetable tanned leather. They measure about 16″ x 20″ x 4″ so they are perfect lightweight carry all for your everyday needs.

And the leather straps dress up the simple mesh fabric. Now, which color should I designate for fabric samples from the Design Center… which for baby toys?

Cut the Turkey.

Two weeks away from Thanksgiving celebrations and feasts everywhere. We’re still trying to sort though our plans for that weekend {also my %$^ birthday weekend! holla!}. This two-piece cutlery carving set at Barneys could be the perfect tradition to Thanksgiving Day turkey carving.

Happy Halloween!

Last night, hubby and I got started on pumpkin carving last night after dinner. I like to carve my special characters into my perfect oversize orange squash the night before to keep things fresh for the big haunted halloween night! Plus, I recall years of ants and squirrels fighting their way into the flesh of my masterpiece before I could even enjoy it’s glowing surprise. Le sigh. Not this time city pests!

I love holidays and every tradition that comes along with them. Messy pumpkin guts and a good handful of Reece’s Peanut Butter Cups included {speaking of… where’s my chocolate stash?}. However, this year, I’ll be taking a back seat on the “dressing up” part. Being pregnant does not put me in much of a mood to dawn a costume – especially something “sexy” like the masses of youngin’s who walked these urban sidewalks in droves on Saturday night {Geez, I miss those days}. Times-are-a-changing! Instead, I’ll be dressing up the pup – probably with her jockey costume from last year – it fits her huge ribcage better then the bumblebee, cheerleader, and cowgirl from years past. Hey there cutie pie!

Have a spook-tacular day!

Just a Thought.
