Smoothie Queen.

I made not a single New Years resolution for 2011, except to enjoy each and every day as I have been. I find them hard to keep and there are so many aspects of myself that I would love to improve but there is no way that I’m going to reach that goal in just 365 days (and stick to it into 2012). So, I plan to stick with just being me, but a better version of me. And one of the ways to be better, is to eat better.

I used to make smoothies a lot, but found my beautiful and classic Oster blender to be cumbersome and too hefty for just one serving. So, after tons of product research, I broke down last week on Walmart.com and purchased the Back to Basics Brushed Chrome Personal Blender.

Now, I know my countertop need not get more crowded than it already is, but after receiving this cutie today, I realized how petite this personal smoothie machine is. I immediately cleaned out the cup, plopped in some frozen blueberries, non-fat yogurt, skim milk, bananas, and a dollop of honey, and turned that sucker on. A perfect smoothie! It comes with a cap for the road. This one went down before I could even sit back down. Yummm!
