All About Alessi.

I’m excited to mingle with designers, fans, and Georgetowners tonight at the Grand Opening of Italian design store Alessi. Deborah Kalkstein, founder of Contemporaria, is opening this new store in the cozy Cady’s Alley that will be chock full with an assortment of modern, creative, fun and meaningful everyday objects. “You won’t have to spend a lot of money,” Kalkstein, a fan of Ikea, says. “The store is happy. It’s affordable for everybody.” (from the Georgetown Dish). I hope to chat with Deborah and personally meet Alessio Alessi, the C.E.O. of Alessi S.p.a., who will be present for the official opening celebration! Welcome to DC!
