Fun and Furniture on 14th.

Last night, I had to the opportunity to see first hand the new Room and Board store opening this Monday on 14th Street in the District. It’s a-m-a-z-i-n-g! Four floors and a rooftop terrace with 180 degree views were booming with VIP party guests all oohing and aahing over the mid-century style furnishings and accessories soon to be selling like hotcakes. I sipped cocktails and toured every corner of the store, feeling, sitting, price checking, and selecting my favorite finds for my future homes (yes, that’s plural). I chatted with my industry friends artist Mike Weber, Timothy and Mia Worrell of Timothy Paul Carpets, and Bruce Birnbach of American Leather. And finally met and shop-talked with Maxwell Gillingham-Ryan, Chris Phillips, and local contributor Colleen Quinn of Apartment Therapy who’s blog I absolutely LOVE. We party hopped onto Mitchell Gold Bob Williams popular White Party right down the street where the conversations continued under the cool sounds of famed DJ Lady Bunny. It was a terrific design filled evening. Gotta love city livin’!

Free bags for Room & Board partygoers. =)
