The Globe Matters.

Searching endlessly for fantastic lamps should be a part of my job title. My passion for design includes looking the world over for interesting, beautiful, and functional home goods. When I see something I like, the person next to me is most likely going to learn that fact. So here is a fantastic lamp that I wish to voluntarily share with the world.  =)

The Bubble Sconce is made from components of the famous thrill-seeking Globe Bubble Chandelier by Matter, NY. This sconce begs to hang upside down but would be a beautiful accent to any wall and space. Hand-blown glass globes and custom hardware are created in a collaborative studio in Brooklyn. Choices for finish includes oil-rubbed bronze, satin nickel and 24-karat gold plating. These options are available for the chandelier as well.

Another Matter creation on my hit list is the Tube Chandelier. How cool is this gold-plated brass and Linestra tube hanging lamp?! At 40-inches in height, I imagine it contrasting against a home’s classic winding staircase or a few dotting the ceiling in a hip hotel lobby. London designer Michael Anastassiades designed the Tube Chandelier in 2004  and specializes in limited-edition pieces using materials such as bronze, copper, nickel and marble.
