Deep vs. Shallow Pockets.

As a Design Consultant, I often come across design finds that are very similar in style but lean far left and far right on the price scale. One example is this lovely side table from Inside Avenue (manufactured by trade-only Global Views). I first caught glimpse of the Modern Side Table with its deco and mid-century lines.

It’s priced at $1,047 each for deeper pockets!

But then a few months back, I was flipping through a Pottery Barn catalog and WHAM! This one is so similar and priced. Calling all shallow pockets! At only $399, the Monroe Side Table is a fine alternative. And I’m actually quite fond of the white Carrara marble top and hand hammered steel base.
